·        Harding opens its 2014 Great American Conference schedule Friday and Saturday in Bethany, Okla., with a three-game series against Southern Nazarene. The teams will play the series opener on Friday at 1 p.m. and play a doubleheader Saturday beginning at noon.
·        Harding enters the series 6-3 overall after splitting a non-conference doubleheader Tuesday against Ouachita Baptist. The Bisons won the opener 5-0 and lost game two 6-5.
·        Harding has a .224 team batting average and is averaging 4.9 runs per nine innings. Sophomore John Chapman leads the offense with a .319 average and a .500 on-base percentage. Trent Wooldridge has scored seven runs, and Matt Calhoun has a team-best seven RBI. Calhoun has reached base at least once in all nine games this season.
·        Harding's pitching staff boasts a 2.83 ERA, the best in the GAC entering the weekend. The Bisons have struck out 61 and walked only 18 in 70.0 innings.
·        Harding's probable starters for the weekend are senior Cameron Walker (0-0, 2.19), sophomore Collin Campbell (1-0, 2.45), and senior Logan Holthaus (1-0, 3.38). Walker ranks ninth in the GAC in ERA and fifth in opponents' batting average (.162).
·        Southern Nazarene is 4-4 overall and 0-3 in the GAC. The Crimson Storm is coming off a 12-4 victory over St. Gregory's on Tuesday after dropping all three at Arkansas Tech in its GAC-opening weekend.
·        Southern Nazarene has a .257 team batting average and is scoring 5.6 runs per nine innings. Ryan Brosnan is hitting a team-best .444 with eight hits in 18 at-bats.
·        The Crimson Storm has a 4.12 ERA and is led by Thomas Schellhardt who has a 1-2 record and a 2.89 ERA.
·        Harding and Southern Nazarene played last season for the first time with the Bisons taking two of three games in Searcy.
