ST. CHARLES, Mo. - Harding women's tennis posted a shutout for the third time in the last four matches with a 6-0 shutout of Lindenwood (MO) on Tuesday.

Both teams are members of the NCAA Division II Central Region--Harding in the Great American Conference and Lindenwood (MO) in the MIAA.

Harding jumped to 5-3 overall with the victory and has a 3-2 record against Division II competition. The Lady Bisons play two nationally-ranked teams this weekend, taking on 18th-ranked Southwest Baptist on Friday and 24th-ranked Drury on Saturday.

Harding won all three doubles points for the fifth time this season. Benyapa Phumtip and Piper Huey won their third straight doubles match at No.1, defeating Gloria Marras and Alexandra Medvedeva 8-2. Phumtip and Huey are 4-1 as a doubles duo.

Ali Rowden and Katie Huff won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles over Daria Ivanova and Mariona Pinol. Rowden and Huff are 3-2 overall and 2-2 at No. 2 doubles.

Kaleigh Wagner and Lauren Doversola are now 4-2 as a doubles pairing with an 8-4 victory at No. 3 over Diana Castro and Clara Piccamiglio.

The team played only three of the six singles matches to completion. Harding won all three of them in straight sets. Rowden won her third straight singles match 6-0, 6-2 over Marras at No. 1 and improved to 5-1 this season in the top spot.

Huey won a tight match 7-5, 6-4 overa Piccamiglio at No. 2. Huey has a team-best five-match winning streak and is a perfect 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Phumtip easily handled Ivanota 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 singles. Phumtip has won three straight and has won six of her seven matches at No. 3 singles this season.
