Harding Baseball Pounds 14 Hits in 13-3 Victory over No. 26 Arkansas-Monticello

Davis Richardson became just the second Harding player to homer twice at Jerry Moore Field since the NCAA deadened the bats in 2011.
Box Score SEARCY - Sophomore Davis Richardson hit two home runs, and Harding scored in every inning in a 13-3 victory over No. 26 Arkansas-Monticello in a non-conference game on Wednesday at Jerry Moore Field. The game ended after seven innings due to the NCAA's 10-run rule.

The Bisons (24-17) return to Great American Conference play with a three-game series at Ouachita Baptist beginning Friday.

Harding senior Trent Wooldridge matched a career-high with four hits, including a double and a triple, scored three times and drove in three runs. Senior Erin McCarver had two hits and drove in four runs, and senior Matt Calhoun extended his career-best hitting streak to 11 games with a 2-for-4 effort that included two RBI.

Richardson hit solo home runs in the fourth and sixth innings and became the first Harding player to hit two home runs in a game a Jerry Moore Field since Jeremy Bohnett hit two against Central Baptist in 2011.

Harding used five pitchers in the game with sophomore Jacob Stripling (3-3) starting and getting the win. Tyler Stanford, Alan Copeland, Hunter Payne, and Bronson Smith each pitched an inning.

UAM starter Zach McKnight (4-3) took the loss. He allowed four earned runs in 1 2-3 innings.
