Harding, currently fourth in the GAC standings, takes on Ouachita Baptist, tied with Southwestern Oklahoma for sixth, in a key Great American Conference series this weekend. The teams play a single game Friday at 3 p.m. and a doubleheader Saturday at noon.

The top six teams in the conference standings advance to the GAC Tournament on May 3-6 in Enid, Okla.

Harding enters the series ranked third in the GAC in batting average (.290), first in ERA (3.49) and first in fielding percentage (.972). Ouachita Baptist is ninth in hitting (.273), eighth in ERA (4.78), and seventh in fielding (.956).

Harding senior Matt Calhoun leads the GAC with a .394 average. He is also fourth in both on-base percentage (.461) and slugging percentage (.606).

The series will put four of the GAC's top pitchers on display. OBU senior Davis Ward is 7-3 with a 2.50 ERA, good for third in the conference. Harding has three pitchers -- sophomore Andrew Fiddler (5th, 2.66), sophomore Collin Campbell (6th, 3.16), and senior Logan Holthaus (10th, 3.43) in the top 10 in the GAC in ERA.
