SEARCY - Harding women's tennis won its seventh straight match Saturday and remained perfect in Great American Conference play with an 8-1 victory over Southeastern Oklahoma on Saturday at the Harding Tennis Complex.

The Lady Bisons improved to 12-5 overall and 4-0 in the GAC. Harding has won all four of its home matches and is now 10-3 against teams in the NCAA II Central Region.

Harding won all three doubles matches for the eighth time this season. The Lady Bisons are 8-0 in those matches. Benyapa Phumtip and Piper Huey improved to 7-6 with an 8-6 victory at No. 1. Ali Rowden and Katie Huff improved to 3-1 in conference matches with an 8-5 victory at No. 2, and Lauren Doversola and Arielle Butler won their third straight and remained perfect at 4-0 in conference with an 8-1 victory at No. 3.

Harding won five of the six doubles matches, including a three-set victory by Rowden at No. 1. Doversola won her seventh straight singles match with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 3, and Huey ran her winning streak to six straight matches with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2.

The Lady Bisons next play Tuesday in Arkadelphia, Ark., against GAC foe Ouachita Baptist.
