CONWAY, Ark. – The 36th-ranked Harding women's tennis team remained undefeated with a 9-0 victory over Hendrix on Saturday at the Hendrix Indoor Tennis Center.
The Lady Bisons are 3-0 and have won all three dual matches by 9-0 scores. Hendrix suffered its first loss of the season and fell to 2-1.
Harding won all three doubles matches. Ali Bishop and Piper Huey, the No. 3-ranked doubles team in the NCAA II Central Region, won 8-0 at No. 1. Katie Huff and Arielle Butler teamed to win 8-6 at No. 2, and the all-freshman duo of Brittany Smyser and Emily Faulkner won 8-4 at No. 3.
Harding won all six singles matches in straight sets. Huey won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 with Bishop winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2. Huff, Harding's lone senior, won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3.
Butler recorded a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 4, Symser won 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5, and Faulkner won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 6.
Harding's next action is Thursday against Delta State. The teams will play a neutral-site contest Thursday in Arkadelphia, Ark.
