Harding Notes
Harding returns to GAC action on the road this weekend at Southeastern Oklahoma in Durant. The Bisons enter the weekend fifth in the conference standings with a 4-3 record. Harding swept Southern Nazarene in a three-game road series last weekend.
Harding split its non-conference doubleheader Tuesday at Arkansas Tech. Senior Shane Kinnear hit a two-run home run, his first of the season, in the sixth inning to give Harding a 4-3 victory in game one. Arkansas Tech won game two 10-5.
The Bisons enter the series with a .241 team batting average and scoring 4.1 runs per game. Harding is led by junior Harrison Hunter, who ranks sixth in the GAC with a .377 batting average and third with a .493 on-base percentage. Hunter has reached base in all 18 of his starts this season.
Junior Davis Richardson leads the team and ranks fourth in the GAC with three home runs and is third with 14 walks.
In one strange (and painful) note: Harding is dominating the hit-by-pitch category. Junior Zac Stewart leads the conference with 10, followed by Hunter with eight and Noah Chandler with seven.
Harding's pitching staff is fourth in the GAC with a 3.44 ERA. Junior Collin Campbell is fourth in the conference with a 1.76 ERA and seventh with a .200 opponents' batting average.
Southeastern Okla. Notes
Southeastern Oklahoma enters the series 7-8 overall and 3-4 in the GAC. The Savage Storm is seventh in the conference standings. Southeastern has lost three straight and four of its last five.
The Savage Storm is hitting .268 as a team and averages 4.5 runs. Southeastern leads the GAC with 30 stolen bases and ranks last in the conference with three home runs.
Southeastern's top hitter is senior Collin Sefcik, seventh in the GAC with a .370 average. Kaleb Thomas is second in the conference with a .508 on-base percentage.
