Lady Bison Tennis Drops 6-3 Decision to No. 31 Cameron

SEARCY - No. 31 Cameron won four of six singles matches in straight sets to defeat Harding 6-3 on Thursday at the Harding Tennis Courts.

Harding earned one point in the three doubles matches. The No. 1 team of Piper Huey and Ali Bishop, ranked No. 6 in the NCAA II Central Region, defeated Cameron's team of Paula Gutierrez and Eugenia Sanchez, 8-4. Gutierrez and Sanchez are the No. 5 ranked team in the NCAA II South Central Region. Huey and Bishop have won their last two matches and improved to 10-4 in doubles this season.

Harding's singles victories came from No. 5 Arielle Butler and No. 6 Emily Faulkner. Butler won in straight sets for her second straight singles victory and sixth of the season. Faulkner improved to 4-4 with a three-set victory.
