Lady Bison Tennis Travels to Memphis for Two Matches on Wednesday

SEARCY – Harding women's tennis will play a doubleheader Wednesday in Memphis, Tennessee, taking on Christian Brothers at 10 a.m. and LeMoyne-Owen at 3 p.m.

Harding enters the contests with a 5-3 record and is coming off a 6-3 loss to No. 31 Cameron on Mar. 19.

Sophomore Piper Huey continues to lead the Lady Bisons this season with nine singles victories. She is 5-2 at No. 1 in dual matches.

Harding currently has three players with 30 or more singles wins. Ali Bishop leads the team with 35, followed by Katie Huff's 31 and Piper Huey's 30. Arielle Butler is next with 23.

The Lady Bisons have been tough to beat at No. 1 and No. 2 singles this season. Harding has a combined 12-4 record in dual matches at the top two singles spots.

Bishop and Huey form Harding's No. 1 doubles team and have a 10-4 this season. They have won their last two matches and are 8-2 in their last 10.

Bishop is one doubles victory away from 40 in her career. She is currently 39-18 in doubles matches. Katie Huff is also nearing a milestone. She needs two doubles victories to become only the 18th Lady Bison with 50 doubles wins in a career.

Harding has been very successful against the teams it will meet Wednesday. The Lady Bisons are 21-0 against both Christian Brothers and LeMoyne-Owen.
