Harding Notes

Harding will open its 2015 Great American Conference schedule Saturday at Southern Nazarene in Bethany, Oklahoma.

The Lady Bisons enter the match 7-3 overall and ranked No. 9 in the ITATennis.com Central Region Rankings. Harding has won three of its last four matches, including a pair of 9-0 sweeps of Christian Brothers and LeMoyne-Owen on Wednesday.

Harding's top singles winning streak entering the match belongs to sophomore Arielle Butler, who has won her last three and is 7-5 in singles this season.

Harding has a 41-17 singles record in dual matches this season and 20-10 in doubles.


Southern Nazarene

The Crimson Storm enters the match 1-4 overall and 1-1 in GAC play. Southern Nazarene has a 6-3 victory over Ouachita Baptist and a 7-2 loss to Southeastern Oklahoma in conference action.

Senior Masha Andrianova leads the Crimson Storm with a 4-1 singles record. Andrianova and Polina Chala have won both of their singles matches in conference play.

Southern Nazarene is 10-20 in dual singles matches and 7-8 in doubles.


Series

The series started in 1996 with a 6-0 Harding victory. Southern Nazarene won 8-1 in Bethany in 2013, and Harding won 7-2 last season.
