HU Women's Tennis Looks to Even GAC Record at Henderson State

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Harding women's tennis team will go in search of its second Great American Conference victory Thursday, taking on Henderson State at 2 p.m.

Harding enters the match with an 8-8 overall record and a 1-2 mark in the GAC. The Lady Bisons have a conference victory over Ouachita Baptist (6-3) and losses to Southern Nazarene (5-4) and Southeastern Oklahoma (8-1).

Harding has won seven singles matches in its three previous GAC contests. Freshmen Emily Faulkner and Brittany Smyser lead the team with two singles wins each in GAC matches. For the season, the Lady Bisons have been best at the No. 5 singles flight, where they have won 10 of their 16 matches.

Harding's top doubles team in GAC matches has been the No. 3 team of Piper Huey and Sydni Sansom. The deo has two of Harding's four doubles wins in GAC matches.

Henderson State enters the match 6-7 overall and 2-3 in conference. The Reddies have GAC wins over Ouachita Baptist (8-1) and Southern Nazarene (5-4), and they have lost to Southeastern Oklahoma (8-1), East Central (7-2) and Arkansas Tech (9-0).
