LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Harding sophomore
Piper Huey won her 10th match at No. 1 singles and her second this season over a regionally-ranked opponent, but the Lady Bisons fell 8-1 to Arkansas Tech on Sunday in a match played indoors at Burns Park.
Huey, ranked No. 8 in the NCAA Division II Central Region in singles, defeated Tech's Tamara Bell, ranked 19th, 6-4, 7-6. It was Huey's 35th career singles victory in her second season as a Lady Bison.
Harding (9-9, 2-3 GAC) plays its final conference match Monday at noon against East Central in Searcy.
