WHAT TO WATCH FOR
Harding opened the season with a pair of road losses to NCAA Division I teams Lipscomb and Central Arkansas. The Lady Bisons will next play three matches in three days, taking on NCAA Division III opponent Hendrix on Wednesday. Harding will travel to Arkadelphia, Arkansas, on Thursday and Friday to meet NCAA Division II Delta State and Southwest Baptist in neutral site matches on the campus of Ouachita Baptist.

Hendrix, located in Conway, Arkansas, opened its season with a pair of victories. The Warriors defeated University of the Ozarks and John Brown, both on the road by 9-0 scores.

Delta State is a member of the Gulf South Conference and will be opening its season against Harding. The Lady Statesmen were 8-10 last season which included a 6-3 loss to Harding.

Southwest Baptist competes in the MIAA and will also open its season against the Lady Bisons. Southwest Baptist is ranked No. 10 in the ITA Division II Women's Rankings and is ranked No. 1 in the Central Region.

PLAYERS TO WATCH
Harding sophomore Brittany Smyser earned second-team All-Great American Conference honors last season and was an ITA Scholar Athlete. Smyser was 11-8 in singles play last season and has played at No. 4 singles in Harding's first two matches.

Hendrix's top player is junior Julia Lefler, a resident of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Last season, Lefler earned honorable mention All-Southern Athletic Association. This season, Lefler is 2-0 in dual matches and 4-1 overall.

Charlotte Le Flohic played No. 1 singles for Delta State last season. She is a sophomore from Senlis, France.

Southwest Baptist sophomore Maria Josie Zehnder is ranked sixth in NCAA Division II singles and is the top singles player in the Central Region. Zehnder placed third at the USTA/ITA Small College Nationals in October in Sumter, South Carolina.
