Southern Arkansas won two of the three games played between the teams in the Great American Conference series on April 1-2. Harding senior Harrison Hunter had a great series, going 7-for-12 (.583) with two runs, an RBI and three stolen bases.

From the record book: On April 17, 2010, Harding defeated Arkansas-Monticello 23-14 in Monticello and set a school record with 10 doubles in the game. UAM hit five home runs in the game, tied for the third-most allowed by Harding.

WATCH TO WATCH FOR
Tuesday's game is a non-conference contest. Both teams are among the top eight that will qualify for the GAC Tournament. Southern Arkansas is fourth at 15-9, and Harding is seventh at 10-14.

Harding sophomore Jackson Ward will make his second start of the season. He pitched four innings of relief against Southern Arkansas earlier this season and allowed one earned run on three hits in four innings with one strikeout.

Harding senior outfielder Zac Stewart is looking for his team-leading 20th multi-hit game of the season.

Sophomore Chris Taylor, the reigning GAC Player of the Week, has reached base in seven straight games. Sophomore Zach Beasley holds Harding's current best hitting streak at four games.
