Harding Women's Tennis Falls to Southeastern Oklahoma in GAC Tourney; Awaits Postseason Fate

BENTONVILLE, Ark. - Harding women's tennis fell 5-1 to Southeastern Oklahoma on Friday in the semfinals of the Great American Conference Tournament.

The Lady Bisons fell to 14-9 overall but their No. 7 ranking in the most recent NCAA Central Region Rankings could mean that Harding's season continues in the Central Region Tournament. The seven-team tournament field will be announced on Tuesday, May 3.

Harding lost two very close doubles matches against Southeastern, including a 9-8 tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles.

The Lady Bisons picked up a point at No. 3 singles, where sophomore Gabriella Alves won 6-0, 6-1 for her 12th singles victory of the season.

Southeastern won at No. 4 and No. 5 to collect the final two points after sweeping doubles. The Savage Storm advances to the finals to meet the winner of Arkansas Tech and East Central on Saturday.
