Harding Women's Tennis Falls 8-1 at Oklahoma Baptist

SHAWNEE, Okla. - Harding freshman Emily Faulkner won her singles match in three sets, but it was the only victory mustered by the Lady Bisons in an 8-1 loss to Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday in Great American Conference action.

Harding fell to 12-7 overall and 2-3 in GAC matches. Oklahoma Baptist, who is not eligible for the GAC Tournament due to its provisional status in the conference, improved to 16-2 overall and 5-0 in GAC matches.

Faulkner won 6-7, 6-2, 10-6 at No. 6 singles. It was her second straight three-set victory, her fifth straight win overall and her 10th singles win in her last 11 matches. Faulkner is tied for the team lead with 13 overall singles wins.
