RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league's Players of the Week for the third week of the men's soccer season. Ouachita's Tinashe Chigede earned the Offensive accolade while Harding's Phillip White and Michael Wasson claimed the Defender and Goalkeeper honors.
 
GAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tinashe Chigede, Ouachita, F, Jr., Tulsa, Oklahoma

Chigede scored game-tying and game-winning goals against Upper Iowa. The game-winning goal came via a penalty kick in the second overtime. He followed by tallying the game-tying goal versus Lindenwood in second half. He ranks second in the conference with four goals and nine points.

 
GAC DEFENDER OF THE WEEK – Phillip White, Harding, D, Sr., Tulsa Oklahoma

White played the full 90 minutes in all three of Harding's shutout wins. In victories against Williams Baptist, Delta State and Hendrix, those three combined for only 19 shots, and only five shots on goal. Harding extended its school-record winning streak to six games. The Bisons have not allowed a goal in 540 minutes.

 
GAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – Michael Wasson, Harding, So., Arlington, Texas

Wasson pushed his personal scoreless streak to 450 minutes as he collected clean sheets in wins against Delta State and Hendrix. The shutout against Hendrix, his fifth of the season, broke the Harding single-season record of four, set by Michael Allen in 2003.
