Harding Women's Tennis Doubles Team of Golubic, Takanashi Regionally Ranked

SEARCY – The Harding women's doubles team of Laura Golubic and Arisa Takanashi will begin the spring season ranked No. 9 in Central Region doubles. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association recently released its first rankings based on fall results.

Golubic, a senior from Zagreb, Croatia, and Takanashi, a junior from Yokohama, Japan, went 2-4 in two tournaments in the fall. The duo reached the consolation finals of the Great American Conference Fall Tournament with wins over teams from Southern Nazarene and Ouachita Baptist.

It was likely a close loss that was Golubic and Takanashi's best performance of the fall. The team lost 8-5 to Kim Moosbacher and Kateryna Shkot of Oklahoma Baptist in the semifinals of the GAC Tournament. Moosbacher and Shkot are ranked No. 4 in Division II and No. 1 in the Central Region.

???????Golubic has 37 career doubles victories, the most among active Lady Bisons. With four more wins, she will move into the Harding's career top 25.
