Harding women's basketball returns to Hawaii for the fourth time and will take on Hawaii Pacific Saturday for the first time since Dec. 12, 2008. The Hawaii Pacific game is the first of two games Harding will play on the island of Oahu. The Lady Bisons will take on Montana State-Billings Sunday.

Harding also played in Hawaii in 2004 (0-2), 2008 (2-0) and 2013 (2-0).

Harding (4-6) is coming off a 61-37 victory over Christian Brothers on Dec. 9, its best defensive effort of the season. The Lady Bisons held the Lady Bucs to only 21 percent shooting, and Christian Brothers failed to score more than 11 points in any quarter. Offensively, Harding got great production from its bench, scoring 41 of Harding's 61 points. Freshman Amanda Kearney led the team with a season-high 15 points.

Hawaii Pacific (6-2) has won six of its last seven games and is coming off an 80-44 home victory over Douglas College, located in British Columbia, Canada. Hawaii Pacific shot 57 percent in the second half and scored 50 points. Junior guard Janessa Manzano, a San Francisco native, led Hawaii Pacific with 22 points, hitting six 3-pointers.

Harding has had eight different players lead the team in scoring in its 10 games this season and has eight players averaging 5.0 points or more. Lady Bison opponents have shot only 36 percent this season but have made 18 more 3s and 36 more free throws than Harding.

A member of the Pacific West Conference, Hawaii Pacific ranks 11th in Division II in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.35) and 18th in fewest turnovers per game (13.0). The Sharks are near the bottom of Division II in 3-point field-goal percentage defense (274th, 35.4) and personal fouls per game (282nd, 22.5).

Record Watch: Senior Sydney Layrock will move into the top 10 in career scoring at Harding with three points against Hawaii Pacific. She will move past former teammate A'ndi Haney. Layrock has 1,266 career points.

Harding (0-7) is coming off a 74-59 home loss to nationally ranked Christian Brothers on Dec. 9. Senior Tim Wagner made four of Harding's seven 3-pointers in the game and led the team with 20 points. Wagner leads the Great American Conference with 3.0 3-pointers per game.
