Harding women's basketball will be playing its first of four straight nonconference games Tuesday when it hosts nationally-ranked Drury, a member of the Great Lakes Valley Conference located in Springfield, Missouri.

Harding (3-5) is coming off an 84-73 loss to 25th-ranked Southwestern Oklahoma Saturday in Great American Conference play. Freshman Kellie Lampo scored a career-high 22 points to lead Harding, but the Lady Bisons shot only 34 percent as a team.

Drury is 7-1 overall and has won five straight. The Lady Panthers are coming off a 75-57 home victory against McKendree Saturday in GLVC action. Hailey Diestelkamp scored 16 points to lead Drury, who made seven 3-pointers in the first half to pull out to a 44-31 halftime lead.

Harding and Drury are meeting for the third time. Harding won 60-59 in Searcy in 2001, and Drury won 76-54 in Springfield in 2016.

Harding is the GAC's top team in field-goal percentage (44.8) and blocked shots (6.1), while Drury tops its conference in turnovers forced per game (23.38).

Harding's Caroline Hogue ranks 24th in Division II with 17 blocked shots, and Drury senior guard Alice Heinzler averages 3.14 steals per game, good for 19th in Division II.

Harding's men also play the first of four straight nonconference games with a road matchup against LeMoyne-Owen, a member of the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference located in Memphis, Tennessee.

Harding (0-5) is coming off a 71-70 loss to Southwestern Oklahoma Saturday in Great American Conference action at Rhodes-Reaves Field House. Tim Wagner led Harding with 17 points, but the Bisons missed 16 free throws in the loss.

LeMoyne-Owen (2-7) won two of its first four games but has lost its last five, including a 90-84 loss at Central State (Ohio) Saturday. Rashawn Ellis led the Magicians with 36 points, connecting on seven of LeMoyne-Owen's 10 3-pointers.

Harding is 2-0 all-time against LeMoyne-Owen. The Bisons defeated the Magicians 86-81 in Memphis in 2010 and 73-65 in Searcy in 2016.


Harding is in the top 50 in Division II in both 3-point field-goal percentage defense (30.3, 32nd) and field-goal percentage defense (41.0, 47th). LeMoyne-Owen is 41st in Division II with 69 steals.

Sophomore Adam Horn leads Harding and ranks seventh in the GAC with 6.8 rebounds per game. Ellis averages 24.7 points, seventh in Division II.
