Harding Football Lands at No. 20 in Final AFCA Poll

SEARCY – Harding football placed No. 20 in the final AFCA Division II Coaches Poll, released Monday.

It is the fifth time in the last seven seasons that Harding finished the season as a nationally ranked team. The Bisons were No. 19 in 2012, No. 17 in 2014, No. 6 in 2016 and No. 6 in 2017. Since 2012, Harding is 67-18 (.788), more wins than any other college football team in Arkansas over that span.

Harding was 9-3 overall and finished 9-2 in the Great American Conference.

Statistically, Harding led Division II in scoring defense (11.3), passing yards per completion (23.62), and time of possession (36:02). The Bisons were second nationally in rushing offense (341.1) and total defense (214.9).

Harding will open the 2019 season at Ouachita Baptist. Game date and time are yet to be determined.
