Harding Women's Tennis Posts 9-0 Win over Texas Wesleyan

DALLAS – Harding women's tennis rolled to its second straight win to open the season Saturday with a 9-0 blanking of NAIA opponent Texas Wesleyan. The teams played at the Northwood Club, where Harding head coach David Redding was director of tennis for many years.

For the second straight match, Harding swept the doubles. Gabriella Alves gave Harding its fourth point with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1, and Arisa Takanashi clinched the match with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 2.

Harding won all six singles matches in straight sets and did not lose more than three games in any match.

Harding concludes the road trip Sunday in Dallas against Collin College.
