Division I Nicholls State Defeats Harding Women's Tennis 4-0

SEARCY – Nicholls State, a member of the NCAA Division I Southland Conference, defeated Harding women's tennis 4-0 Saturday morning at the Harding Tennis Courts.

The teams played the match by Division I rules, so only one point was awarded for doubles. Nicholls State won at No. 2 and No. 3 to take a 1-0 lead.

Nicholls State (10-8) won three singles matches in straight sets to clinch the victory. The other three on-going singles matches were stopped at that point.

Harding fell to 11-4 and returns to Great American Conference action Tuesday at home against Henderson State.
