Harding Women's Tennis Upset Bid Falls Just Short in GAC Tournament Semis

BENTONVILLE, Ark. – Harding women's tennis won two of three doubles matches and threatened to upset No. 1 seed and 31st-ranked Oklahoma Baptist Friday in the semifinals of the GAC Tournament. Oklahoma Baptist rallied in singles and advanced to the Saturday's final with a 5-3 victory over Harding.

Harding concluded its season with a 15-8 record. Oklahoma Baptist improved to 13-4 and will take on Southeastern Oklahoma in the final.

Harding earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles. Hana Folse and Gabriella Alves won their 19th match of the season 9-8 in a tiebreaker. Emily Faulkner and Jordan Shaw won their 10th.

Harding's lone singles win came at No. 6, where Paulina Kostka blanked Megan Bowlin 6-0, 6-0. It was Kostka's fifth straight win and 11th overall.
