Evans, Folse Ranked in ITA Central Region

SEARCY – The Intercollegiate Tennis Association released its final team national rankings and its singles and doubles regional rankings Wednesday for NCAA Division II tennis. It is possible that regional team rankings and national singles and doubles rankings will come at a later date.

The Harding women's team received votes in the national top 25 poll where Barry University landed at No. 1. Harding was 14-5 overall and had won 11 straight when its season was halted due to the coronavirus outbreak following its 5-2 victory over Northwest Missouri State on March 11.

The ITA ranked Harding's Rylie Cox Evans at No. 7 in Central Region singles, the only Lady Bison among the top 20 in the region. Evans was 19-6 in singles, including 15-2 at No. 1 in dual matches. She had won 14 straight matches when the season ended.

In doubles, Evans and Hana Folse ranked 10th in the region. The duo combined to go 22-5 overall, tying the Harding single-season record for doubles wins in a season. Evans and Folse were 14-4 at No. 1 doubles and won their last seven matches together.
