UPDATE: 2020 Football Schedule; Home Start Times Announced

SEARCY – The Great American Conference released a revised 2020 football schedule Friday with Harding now opening its season Sept. 12 at Southwestern Oklahoma.

For the 2020 season, the NCAA altered its rules concerning the maximum number of games a team can play in each sport. Each GAC school had 11 games scheduled, but the new rules limit teams to only 10 regular season games, necessitating the change in schedule.

Additional schedule updates will be coming for other GAC sports.

Harding's Homecoming 2020 will remain on Oct. 31 with Southern Arkansas now the opponent.

UPDATE: Harding's first three home games will all have 6 p.m. starts. Those games are against Northwestern Okla. (Sept. 19), Okla. Baptist (Oct. 3) and Ouachita Baptist (Oct. 10). Homecoming on Oct. 31 against Southern Arkansas will have a 3 p.m. kickoff, and Senior Day against Arkansas Tech on Nov. 14 will kick off at 2 p.m. Additionally, two road game start times are confirmed. Harding and Southern Nazarene will play Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. in Bethany, Oklahoma. Harding and Henderson State will play Oct. 17 at 2 p.m.

Start times for games at Southwestern Okla. (9/12), Ark.-Monticello (10/24) and Southeastern Okla. (11/7) will be announced soon.
