RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the Women's Tennis award for the third week of the 2022 season. Harding's Lindy Carpenter and Southeastern Oklahoma State's Chiara Matteodo shared the honor.
GAC WOMEN'S TENNIS CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Lindy Carpenter, Harding, Sr., New Braunfels, Texas
Carpenter helped the Lady Bisons pick up wins against UT Tyler and Northeastern State. She partnered with Lindy Carpenter to defeat Tanvikhaa Saravanan and Brooklyn Ross, a team ranked No. 10 in the ITA region rankings. Against Northeastern State, she and her sister added another doubles win. She earned wins at No. 5 singles Northeastern State and Dallas Baptist.
GAC WOMEN'S TENNIS CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Chiara Matteodo, Southeastern Oklahoma State, So., Saluzzo, Italy
Matteodo earned two singles and two doubles wins as the Savage Storm defeated Dallas Baptist and UT Tyler by matching 5-2 scores. She paired with Georgia Hosking for wins at No. 3 doubles. She earned a straight-set win at No. 4 singles against Dallas Baptist's Adriana Carpenter and rallied for a three-set victory against UT Tyler's Chloe Chawner.
