Six Provisionals, Five Wins, Two Records for HU Women's Track

SEARCY – Harding women's track and field had competitors at three different meets this weekend – the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, Texas, and the OBU Invitational in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Across all the action, Harding's women broke two school records, recorded six NCAA provisional performances and won five events.

2022 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays
Senior Anne-Noelle Clerima broke her own Harding record in the 400-meter hurdles, clocking an NCAA provisional time of 1:00.11.

Harding's lone field event competitor was sophomore Anna Kay Clark. On her sixth throw in the javelin, Clark recorded an NCAA provisional mark of 45.88 meters or 150 feet, 6 inches.

In the 4x100-meter relay, Harding's team of Briana Johnson, Clerima, Krisman Eakin and Elyvia Reid ran the seventh-fastest relay time in program history at 47.69 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay team also ran the seventh-fastest Harding time at 3:51.36.

In the 100 meters, Johnson ran 12.26, and Reid ran 12.52 in her first collegiate outdoor race.

2022 OBU Invite
Harding's entries at the OBU Invitation were all field event or heptathlon competitors.

Freshman Sofie Reitbauer broke the Harding record in the heptathlon with an NCAA provisional score of 4,701 points. It was her second straight heptathlon victory. She also won the Harding Spring Break Multi with 4,359 points. At the OBU meet, Reitbauer had the highest point total in the 100-meter hurdles, shot put, long jump and javelin.

Reitbauer broke the previous record of 4,685 set by Darcy Sanford in 2021.

Junior Lauren Shell also set a PR with a provisional score of 4,566, placing second in the event.

Senior Cara Mason landed a provisional mark in winning the shot put. Her best toss was 14.00 meters or 45 feet, 11.25 inches. It was her seventh career event victory in the outdoor shot put.

Mason also won the hammer throw with a heave of 46.69 meters or 153 feet, 2 inches. It was her 10th career hammer throw victory.

Freshman Kiera Blankinship won the high jump, tying her PR at 1.63 meters or 5 feet, 4.25 inches. Junior Mary Vander Sewell won the javelin for the first time in her career. Her best throw was 35.07 meters or 115 feet, 1 inch.

Texas State Bobcat Invitational
Senior Kinga Szarzynska's NCAA provisional time in the 800 meters highlighted Harding's performances at the Bobcat Invitational.

Szarzynska placed third with a time of 2:10.94. She also recorded outdoor provisional times in 2018 and 2021. Her PR is 2:09.84.
