HU Places Sixth at Joey Haines Invitational

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Harding's women, ranked eighth nationally in Division II, placed sixth in a field of 13 mostly Division I school at the Joey Haines Invitational.

Harding scored 80.5 points. Murray State won with 177 points.

The Lady Bisons posted four NCAA provisional marks, all in the field events, and won two events.

Freshman Kiera Blankinship won the high jump with a provisional clearance and PR of 1.71 meters or 5 feet, 7.25 inches. Junior Brylan Williams also had a provisional clearance of 1.68 meters or 5 feet, 6 inches.

Harding's fourth provisional came in the javelin, where sophomore Anna Kay Clark's sixth throw sailed 45.45 meters or 149 feet. Her best throw of the season is 150 feet, 6 inches.

Senior Anne-Noelle Clerima won the 400 meters in 56.55 seconds. It was her first time running the 400 outdoors in 2022.

Harding had two additional second-place finishes. The 4x400-meter relay team of Clerima, Kinga Szarzynska, Krisman Eakin and Lauren Shell finished second in 3:54.19. Junior Sarah Gautreaux was second in the pole vault, clearing 3.45 meters or 11 feet, 3.75 inches.

At the WashU Distance Carnival in St. Louis, Harding had two entries in the 10,000 meters. Junior Molly Passmore ran 39:54.10, and freshman Kyle Phillips clocked in at 41:17.16.
