Harding Football Ranked No. 9 in AFCA Preseason Poll

SEARCY – The American Football Coaches Association released its 2022 NCAA Division II Preseason Coaches' Poll Monday with Harding entering the season ranked No. 9.

It was the second-highest preseason ranking ever for the Bisons. Harding entered the 2018 season ranked No. 7.

Harding went 11-2 in 2021, won the Great American Conference championship, qualified for the Division II Playoffs for the fifth consecutive season and won its sixth Division II Playoff game.

The Bisons are the highest-ranked of two GAC teams in the poll.

Harding opens its season Thursday, Sept. 1 against East Central in Ada, Oklahoma. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. with coverage on KVHU 95.3 FM and on HardingSports.com.
