The Harding women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches on Friday, falling to UT-Tyler 6-1, before falling to Collin College 4-3 in Dallas. Harding falls to 2-6 on the year. 

In doubles action against UT-Tyler, the Patriots swept the three matches, winning at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3. Grace Dodd and Karli Roux teamed up for the first time this season at No. 1, and trailed 4-3 and were on serve before getting broken by Allison Schwartz and Akshaya Suresh and fell 6-3. 

The Patriots took the 3-0 lead with wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles before Roux captured her third straight match victory, and tenth overall this season, taking it 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3. The Patriots swept the final three matches to finish the match, winning 6-1. 

In the second match, the Lady Bisons grabbed the doubles point quickly with two easy wins at No. 1 and No. 3. Dodd and Roux won 6-1 at No. 1 while Rachel McCrae and Ashley Nilsson won 6-0 at No. 3. 

Collin College tied the match at 1-1 with a victory at No. 2 singles, before Nilsson won at No. 3, 6-3, 6-1. Lina Romero put the Lady Bisons out to the 3-1 lead with a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 1, but the Cougars battled to take the final three singles matches, two of which were won in third set tiebreakers. 

The Lady Bisons will take on Texas A&M-Kingsville on Saturday in Dallas, beginning at 1 p.m.
