The Harding women's tennis team fell to 2-7 on the season after Saturday's 5-2 loss to Texas A&M-Kingsville in Dallas. The Javelinas improved to 1-1 on the year.
The Javelinas grabbed the doubles point and early 1-0 lead after sweeping the doubles point. Harding fell by a score of 6-4 in both No. 2 and No. 3 and fell 6-3 at No. 1.
Texas A&M-Kingsville clinched the match with wins at No. 4, No. 1, and No. 5 in singles action before the Bisons finally got on the board with a win at No. 2. Lina Romero grabbed a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 2 for her second straight singles win. After another Javelina win, Karli Roux battled to her team-leading 11th win of the season, knocking off Raina Zaffar 7-6, 2-6, 13-11 at No. 3.
The Lady Bisons will finish their weekend trip in Dallas on Sunday against Texas-Dallas at 11 a.m.
