SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding women's tennis team had a mixed bag of results at the Great American Conference Individual Championships, claiming one singles and one doubles title.
Ece Boylu secured Harding's lone singles title, winning in straight sets in the Flight 6 final. However, the Bisons' top contenders in the higher flights fell short, with Alexia Zarate Valdez, Karli Roux, Madison Stafford, and Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz all losing in their respective finals.
In doubles action, Natalia Alvarez and Itza Rogel teamed up to win the Flight 3 title. Sofia Zulim and Ece Boylu fell in the Flight 4 doubles final.
The tournament, held Friday and Saturday in Searcy, featured eight singles flights and four doubles flights.
