SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding Bisons, 2023 NCAA Division II national champions, are headed back to the playoffs in Super Region 3.

Harding, boasting a 10-1 record and sharing the Great American Conference title, will make its ninth NCAA Division II Playoff appearance. The Bisons have won 29 of their last 30 games.

Their first-round matchup pits them against Pittsburg State (MIAA) in Pittsburg, Kansas, on November 23. The teams previously met in the 2014 playoffs. Pittsburg State is 8-2 and the No. 3 seed in the region. In the AFCA Top 25, which has no bearing on the regional rankings used for the playoffs, Harding is ranked No. 4 nationally with Pittsburg State at No. 13.
