The Harding women's tennis team opened the season on Wednesday night in Conway, defeating Hendrix 9-0 at the Hatcher Tennis Center. 

Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz and Natalia Alvarez opened the match with an 8-0 victory at No. 3 doubles. Grace Dodd and Georgia Plunkett teamed up at No. 1 doubles and grabbed an 8-2 victory. Madison Stafford and Alexia Zarate Valdez finished doubles action with an 8-5 win at No. 2 doubles. 

Romane Britt began singles action with a straight sets victory 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles. Karli Roux picked up a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles. Reka Pecsi grabbed the win at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 6-3 win. Alvarez, Ella Graham and Kelly Mahawanniarachchi all won by the same score of 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6. 

The Lady Bisons will return to the court on Thursday when they travel to Clinton, Mississippi to take on No. 24 Mississippi College at 1 p.m.
