Harding Women's Tennis Posts 7-0 Shutout over UAFS

Box Score SEARCY –Harding women's tennis posted a 7-0 victory over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Thursday at the David Elliott Tennis Complex.

With the shutout, Harding's second of the season, the Lady Bisons improved to 5-3 with three additional wins over junior colleges.

Harding won the doubles point for the third time in its last four matches with a 6-1 win at No. 1 from 25th-ranked Romane Britt and Karli Roux and a 6-4 win at No. 3 from Reka Pecsi and Itza Rogel, a duo playing together for the first time this season.

Harding won three of the six singles matches in straight sets to clinch the victory and took the other three in the third-set 10-point tiebreakers.

Sofia Sarmiento Ruiz won in three sets at No. 3 for her sixth consecutive singles victory. She improved to a team-best 6-1 in dual matches and 10-2 overall.

Harding is back in action Friday at home against Southwest Baptist.
