Box Score The Harding women's tennis team finished their season on Friday with a 4-2 loss to No. 1-seed Southeastern Oklahoma in Lowell, Arkansas. The Lady Bisons finish the season 14-9 with three additional wins over junior colleges.
The Savage Storm grabbed the early lead winning No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches 6-4.
Southeastern Oklahoma took the first two singles matches at No. 4 and No. 1 and raced out to a 3-0 lead. The Lady Bisons battled back, winning the next two matches at No. 3 and No. 2.
Alexia Zarate Valdez, a All-GAC Second Team selection, won her fifth match in a row, taking down Larissa Giraldi Correa 7-6, 6-4 at No. 3. All-GAC First Teamer Karli Roux fell behind after dropping the opening set 3-6. Roux battled her way to a 6-4 victory in Set 2. After jumping out to a 4-2 lead in the third set, Roux fell behind 5-4, before winning 12 of the final 15 points of the match and grabbing the final set 7-5.
The Savage Storm closed the door for a Lady Bison comeback with a victory at No. 5.
