Harding's Ty Dugger Named GAC Defensive Player of the Week

SEARCY, Ark. – Harding University's Ty Dugger earned Defensive Player of the Week honors in the Great American Conference for his outstanding performance against Arkansas-Monticello.

Dugger, a junior defensive back from Searcy, Arkansas, intercepted two passes in the first quarter of the Bisons' 63-3 victory. His first interception set up a touchdown two plays later, and his second pick was returned 43 yards for his first career interception return touchdown.

Harding's Andrew Miller and Magnus Lepak also received nominations for Offensive and Special Teams Player of the Week, respectively.

No. 1 Harding looks forward to its next challenge, facing No. 20 Henderson State in an exciting matchup, Saturday at 7 p.m. at First Security Stadium.
