Harding Bisons Claim Top Seed in NCAA DII Playoffs

SEARCY – The Great American Conference champion Harding football team has secured a berth in the NCAA Division II Playoffs for the 10th time. The undefeated 11-0 Bisons will enter the tournament as the No. 1 seed in Super Region 4.

Matchup and Game Details

Harding will host the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats (9-2), who received an at-large bid after sharing the MIAA conference championship.

  • Kickoff Time: 1 p.m. Central Time

  • Broadcast: The game will be streamed exclusively on ESPN+.

Playoff History and Next Round

The winner of the No. 1 Harding-Northwest Missouri contest will advance to play the winner of the No. 4 Pittsburg State/Chadron State game on Saturday, November 29. The second-round game will be played at the location of the higher remaining seed.

Harding holds a 12-8 all-time record in NCAA Division II playoff games. This will be the first time the Bisons have hosted a postseason game since their national championship run in 2023, when they defeated Central Missouri, Grand Valley State, and Lenoir-Rhyne at First Security Stadium. In contrast, the Bisons played all three of their playoff games on the road in 2024.

This will mark the fifth time Harding and Northwest Missouri State have met in the NCAA Division II Playoffs.

Recent Results

Harding concluded its regular season with a commanding 47-13 victory over Arkansas Tech on Saturday. Northwest Missouri State is coming off a 27-14 loss to Pittsburg State on Saturday in Kansas City, Kansas.
