Harding Women's Track and Field Team Shines in Outdoor Season Debut at Hendrix Invitational

CONWAY, Ark. — The Harding women's track and field team kicked off its outdoor season with a strong showing at the Hendrix Invitational, capturing seven individual event victories.

Jerlana Williams led the way with a first-place finish in the 100 meters, clocking a time of 12.07 seconds. Leila Ngapout secured the top spot in the 400 meters with a time of 58.55 seconds, narrowly edging teammate Jayden Bowman, who finished second in 58.59 seconds.

Lisa Retailleau dominated the 800 meters, crossing the finish line in 2:13.43 to claim the top spot. Ally Cheek cleared 1.65 meters (5 feet 5 inches) to win the high jump, while Karyna Vehner took top honors in the pole vault with a mark of 3.55 meters (11 feet 7.75 inches).

In the triple jump, Karyna Vehner leaped 11.69 meters (38 feet 4.25 inches) to secure the win. Rachel Millikan threw 41.87 meters (137 feet 4 inches) to capture the discus title, and also finished sixth in the javelin with a throw of 30.81 meters (101 feet 1 inch).

Harding's next action is March 6-7 at home.
