Harding Women's Track and Field Posts NCAA Provisional Marks, School Record

SEARCY - Harding's women's outdoor track and field team delivered several standout performances at the Bobcat Invitational and the 97th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays over the weekend.

At the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Texas State, Hanna Onufriieva highlighted Harding's performances with an NCAA provisional-qualifying mark in the triple jump. The sophomore achieved a mark of 12.25 meters (40 feet 2.25 inches), meeting the minimum standard required for consideration for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships.

Other notable performances for Harding at the Bobcat Invitational included:
  • Jerlana Williams, who finished 41st in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.15 seconds.
  • Dinah Winders, who placed 13th in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:02.08.
  • Carly Tucker, who finished 12th in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.90 seconds and 20th in the long jump with a mark of 4.98 meters (16 feet 4.25 inches).
  • Kiera Blankinship, who placed 19th in the high jump with a mark of 1.61 meters (5 feet 3.25 inches).
  • Karyna Vehner, who finished 10th in the pole vault with a mark of 3.60 meters (11 feet 9.75 inches).
  • Rachel Millikan, who placed 31st in the shot put with a mark of 11.07 meters (36 feet 4 inches) and ninth in the discus throw with a mark of 41.35 meters (135 feet 8 inches).
At the Texas Relays, Josie Parks achieved an NCAA provisional-qualifying time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, finishing eighth with a time of 10:52.71.

The Lady Bisons' 4x400-meter relay team, consisting of Lisa Retailleau, Tetiana Kharashchuk, Jayden Bowman, and Omolara Ogunmakinju, also secured an NCAA provisional-qualifying time with a finish of 18th and a time of 3:44.64.

In addition, Harding's 4x800-meter relay team set a new school record, shattering the previous mark of 9:11.36 set in 2018. The team, comprised of Retailleau, Parks, Kharashchuk, and Ogunmakinju, finished sixth with a time of 8:59.72.

Other notable performances at the Texas Relays included:
  • Jerlana Williams, who finished 57th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.47 seconds.
  • Lisa Retailleau, who placed 39th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:02.91.
  • Kiera Blankinship, who finished 11th in the high jump with a mark of 1.63 meters (5 feet 4.25 inches).
Harding will next compete on April 4, when it hosts the Bryan Phillips Invitational.
