SEARCY, Ark. — The Harding University men's basketball team earned multiple accolades as the Great American Conference announced its 2024-25 all-conference awards and academic honor roll.
Keyln McBride, a junior guard, was named to the All-GAC First Team after averaging 15.1 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, while shooting 52.2% from the field and 48% from 3-point range.
Sam Smith, a senior forward, secured a spot on the All-GAC Second Team, averaging 14.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game, while shooting 57.9% from the field.
Rylie Marshall, a junior guard, received Honorable Mention All-GAC recognition, averaging 13.8 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
Wyatt Gilbert, an accounting major with a 4.00 GPA, was also honored as an Elite Scholar Athlete, presented by Conway Regional Health System.
In addition to these honors, three Harding student-athletes were named to the GAC Academic Honor Roll: Daniel Henderson, Alex May, and Corban Mora.
The Bisons finished the regular season with a 19-9 overall record and 15-7 mark in conference games, earning the No. 3 seed in the upcoming GAC Tournament. They will face No. 6 seed Southwestern Oklahoma on Friday at 8 p.m. in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
