Alexia Zarate Valdez Named GAC Tennis Player of the Week

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women's tennis player of the week for the penultimate week of the 2025 season. Harding's Alexia Zarate Valdez earned the award following the Lady Bisons' defeat of Ouachita Baptist.

Zarate Valdez helped the Lady Bisons collect their 26th-straight win against the Tigers. She and Karli Roux, the No. 40-ranked tandem in Division II scored a 6-3 win for their eighth win in their last nine contests. In a battle of two nationally-ranked players, No. 12 Zarate Valdez defeated No. 36 Sadbaroy Kholdarova 6-4, 6-4 at No. 1 singles.
