SEARCY – Four Harding football players were named to the D2Football.com preseason Elite 100 Team.
First Team Selections
Senior linebacker Clark Griffin and senior defensive back Ty Dugger were both selected to the First Team Defense. Griffin, a First Team AP All-America honoree in 2024, has 276 career tackles and ranks fifth all-time at Harding with 33.5 tackles for loss. Dugger, who earned D2CCA Second Team All-America honors, leads all active Harding players with seven career interceptions and has a punt return touchdown.
Senior Braden Jay was named to the Special Teams First Team in the all-purpose category. A versatile player, Jay leads the program with 12.12 yards per rush and has a career total of 2,448 rushing yards and 30 touchdowns.
Offensive Squad
Junior Andrew Miller was named to the Offensive Squad, an honorable mention equivalent. Last season, Miller was the team's leading rusher with 1,086 yards and 16 touchdowns. He had four games with over 100 rushing yards, including a 202-yard, three-touchdown performance in a playoff win over Grand Valley State.
With four players on the list, Harding had as many selections as the other 11 teams in the Great American Conference combined.
