Harding Football Favored to Win Third Straight GAC Championship

SEARCY – The Harding Bisons football team is the favorite to win the Great American Conference, receiving nine first-place votes in the 2025 preseason coaches poll. Harding won the 2023 title outright and shared the 2024 championship.

The Bisons are coming off a 12-2 season that included playoff victories at Pittsburg State and Grand Valley State. Last season, the high-powered Harding offense led Division II in scoring (48.1 points per game), rushing yards per game (413.9), and third-down conversion rate (56.5%). The defense was equally dominant, pacing the nation in total defense and passing yards allowed. Key returners for the Bisons include 1,000-yard running backs Andrew Miller and Braden Jay, quarterback Cole Keylon, and First-Team All-GAC defenders Clark Griffin and Ty Dugger.

The Bisons open their season on Thursday, September 4, on the road against Northwestern Oklahoma State.
