LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Harding senior offensive lineman Jake Mitchell has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Willie Roaf Award, presented annually to the top college offensive lineman in Arkansas by the Little Rock Touchdown Club.
NFL Hall of Famer Willie Roaf selects the winner of the award, which is sponsored by Simmons Bank. Mitchell becomes the third Harding player to receive the honor since the award's inception in 2013, joining Bryce Bray (2018) and Hunter Willis (2023) in a legacy of elite Bison linemen.
A 6-foot-2, 270-pound tackle, Mitchell was recognized as the driving force behind a historic Harding offense during the 2025 campaign. He anchored an offensive line that paved the way for the Bisons to lead NCAA Division II in rushing with 433.9 yards per game.
With Mitchell clearing the path, the Harding offense set new NCAA all-division records for rushing yards (6,943) and rushing touchdowns (88) in a single season, powering the team to a 15-1 record and a spot in the national championship game.
Mitchell's selection adds to a decorated postseason haul for the senior, who has already been named a First Team All-American by the Associated Press, the Walter Camp Football Foundation, and the D2CCA.
