TYLER, Texas – The Harding women's tennis team concluded its three-match Texas road swing Sunday morning with a 6-1 loss to Lubbock Christian University at the Summers Tennis Center.

Despite the team result, senior Karli Roux punctuated a brilliant individual weekend. By winning at the top flight on Sunday, she finished the road trip a perfect 3-0 in singles play, all against premier competition from the Lone Star Conference.

Chaps Sweep Doubles

Lubbock Christian (3-3) seized early control of the match by sweeping all three doubles positions. Harding's No. 8-ranked duo of Roux and Brooke Coffman saw their undefeated dual-match streak come to an end at the No. 1 spot, falling 6-3 to LCU's top pair of AnaMaria Zoric and Andrea De Bernardo. The Lady Chaps clinched the point with 6-2 victories at both the No. 2 and No. 3 flights.

Roux Dominates the Top Flight

Roux provided the lone point for Harding (2-3) in singles action. Facing De Bernardo at the No. 1 position, Roux showcased the same clinical form that led to her upset of a nationally ranked opponent on Friday. She secured a 6-4, 6-4 straight-sets victory, marking her fourth singles win of the spring.

LCU Depth Controls Singles

The Lady Chaps proved difficult to beat across the rest of the lineup. At No. 2 singles, LCU's AnaMaria Zoric, currently ranked No. 34 nationally in singles, lived up to her ranking by defeating Natalia Alvarez 6-0, 6-0.

Freshman Brooke Coffman fought through a tight first set at the No. 3 spot but eventually fell 7-5, 6-1 to Axelle Jacquemin. Lubbock Christian added straight-sets wins at the No. 4, 5, and 6 positions to finalize the victory.

After a grueling stretch of three matches in three days, the Lady Bisons return to Searcy to host their 2026 home opener. Harding will face Northwest Missouri State on Monday, Mar. 2. First serve at the David Elliott Tennis Complex is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
