RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the ninth GAC women's track & field athletes of the week recipients. Harding's Jerlana Williams won the Track honor and her teammate, Yedidya Bangue, garnered the field accolade.

At the Stallion Transportation Harding Invitational, Williams claimed a victory in the 100-meter dash and ran the anchor leg of a victorious 4x100-meter relay team. In the 100, she ran a wind-aided 11.58 to win by more than eight-tenths of a second. The relay squad beat the second-place team by 0.48 seconds.
#theGAC FIELD ATHLETE OF THE WEEK – Yedidya Bangue, Jr., Harding, Yaoundé, Cameroon
Bangue captured the shot put title with a school-record toss of 14.56 meters, an NCAA provisional mark. She won the discus with a top throw of 46.02 meters and collected her second provisional standard. Both of her winning throws came on her first attempt. She owns the top shot put throw and the sixth-best discus effort in Division II.
