RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Following a dominant showing at the Bryan Phillips Open, Harding's Leila Ngapout and Roselyn Spencer have been named the Great American Conference Women's Track and Field Athletes of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.

The sweep marks the 14th time this season the GAC has recognized the Lady Bisons for their performances during the outdoor campaign.

Ngapout, a junior from Fairview, Texas, earned Track Athlete of the Week honors after securing individual victories in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dashes. She clocked a personal-best 11.67 seconds in the 100 meters, finishing nearly a half-second ahead of the rest of the field. The time represents the second-fastest mark in the GAC this season.

Ngapout followed that performance with a win in the 200 meters, posting another personal best with a time of 24.20 seconds—the fourth-fastest in the conference. She also contributed to runner-up finishes for both the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relay teams.

Spencer, a freshman from Paris, Texas, was named Field Athlete of the Week after a historic performance in the heptathlon. Spencer won the multi-event competition with a total of 5,240 points, setting a new Harding school record and a personal best. Her point total currently ranks seventh in NCAA Division II this season.

During the seven-event competition, Spencer claimed first place in the 100-meter hurdles and the high jump. She added a second-place finish in the 200 meters, third-place finishes in the shot put and 800 meters, and fourth-place finishes in the long jump and javelin.

The weekly awards are selected by a three-person committee appointed by the conference.
