Harding Women's Track and Field Remains in National Top 10

SEARCY, Ark. – The Harding women's track and field team continued to solidify its status as one of the elite programs in NCAA Division II, checking in at No. 10 in the latest National Track and Field Rating Index (TFRI) released Tuesday.

The Lady Bisons earned their spot in the top 10 with a total score of 149.05 points, fueled by a deep roster that produced 21 national-scoring performances. Of that total, 147.45 points came from individual efforts, complemented by 1.60 points from relay squads.

The team's No. 10 spot is anchored by a group of athletes currently ranked among the top 10 in the nation in their respective events.

Freshman Erika Konovalenko leads the way for Harding, holding the No. 2 national ranking in the javelin with a mark of 51.84 meters (170-0). Senior Josie Parks follows closely with a No. 6 ranking in the 3,000-meter steeplechase, clocking in at 10:26.96, a mark she set at the Bryan Clay Invitational last week.

The Lady Bisons also boast strong representation in multi-event and field disciplines. Freshman Roselyn Spencer ranks No. 7 nationally in the heptathlon with 5,240 points, while Hannah Omosigho sits at No. 8 in the discus with a throw of 50.03 meters (164-1). Rounding out the top-10 individual rankings is senior Cadence Sansom, who holds the No. 10 spot in the pole vault after clearing 4.05 meters (13-3½).

Beyond the top-10 individual scorers, the Lady Bisons have received consistent production across the board. Sophomore Jerlana Williams continues to be a force in the sprints, ranking No. 12 in the 100 meters, while junior Ally Cheek holds a top-15 mark in the high jump (1.72m).

Harding's top-10 ranking comes at a critical juncture in the season. With the postseason approaching, the Lady Bisons look to carry this momentum into the upcoming Great American Conference Championships, aiming to bolster their national standing even further.
